| Description: | Rediscovered only a few years ago. Parides burchellanus was described from one single female
and the virtually similar Parides panthonus ssp: jaguarae from 5 males. After the rediscovery of Parides burchellanus it was recognised that the males of Parides panthonus jaguarae are the males of Parides burchellanus. Image shows A1- specimen.
